Tomorrow afternoon we wrap up our amazing Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band in the Asia Pacific interview series on All Things Considered. I’ve been privileged to share with you on HPR intimate, revealing conversations with Todd Rundgren, Toto’s Steve Lukather and Gregg Rolie (ex-Santana/Journey), detailing their own backgrounds as they intersect with Ringo, personal experiences with all four Beatles, and inside stories about life in Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band.
The exciting journey comes to a conclusion tomorrow with part four of four… Mark Rivera. Mark is the incredibly talented sax player and band leader who has, among many other accomplishments, made Billy Joel’s group such a captivating force since 1982. His talent, enthusiasm and remarkable ear for executing collaboration make him an asset to Ringo Starr, and we hear why tomorrow in our exclusive conversation, airing at 5:30 on HPR1 and previewed throughout the day.
He does a riveting solo in this performance from the Oct. 2009 “Rock Hall 25” concerts in New York at Madison Square Garden, joining Billy and others from his band sitting in with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
