On Friday September 9th, we did an in-studio performance and interview session with Godsmack’s Sully Erna. This unique, stripped down event took place in the intimate 75-seat Atherton Performing Arts Studio at HPR. An hour long session featured time for guests to take photos, get stuff signed and enjoy a personal meet-n-greet. Happening just days before the 10th anniversary of 9/11, we were honored that joining us were a couple of Wounded Warriors from the US military. They were able to get a personal mahalo from Godsmack, as the band’s guitarist and fellow vocalist Tony Rombola was also on hand; he joined Sully to perform on a Godsmack number, making it an even more special gathering. For almost fifty minutes, Sully took part in a one-on-one interview interspersed with three acoustic songs. He performed “Until Then…” and “Broken Road” from his Avalon solo album, and “Serenity” from Godsmack. If you’ve never heard or seen Sully take to the piano for a selection, you’re in for a real treat. Learn more about him, Godsmack and a wide range of topics as we talk story and hear passionate, exclusive renditions of choice material. I hope you dig this one…
