NEW INTERVIEW PODCAST: DAVE LAWRENCE WITH BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND GUITARIST NILS LOFGREN

Vodpod videos no longer available.

A brand new interview is up now in the Dave Report as our Featured New Interview Podcast. Just weeks before Nils joins Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band for the Superbowl, and the release of the new Bruce Springsteen CD Working On A Dream (hear the new song a few posts below and in the Dave Report New Releases Player), I’m thrilled to welcome back my good friend Nils Lofgren for a fresh conversation about a wide-range of topics. Everything from the new Bruce Springsteen album, the Superbowl past and present, working with John Madden plus cruising with him to a previous Superbowl, hanging with Celtic legend Kevin McHale, separately beating hockey king Wayne Gretzky and The King Of All Media Howard Stern in basketball (playing Howard at Nassau Coliseum), touring and working with Neil Young, memories of touring with The Who and AC/DC, and much more. Hear his new song Yankee Stadium in the New Rock Releases Player, download it at his site (NILSLOFGREN.COM), and I hope you enjoy listening to this exclusive new conversation with a truly fun, gifted, and charismatic rock legend, solo artist/Neil Young alumni/noted collaborator/Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren, now in the Dave Report.

Classic Dave Lawrence Interview: Hear The Who’s Roger Daltrey Part Two In The Classic Interview Player

Listen online now, and don’t miss part two of my interview with The Who’s Roger Daltrey here in the Classic Interview Player. All month long we’re featuring a podcast with the conclusion to this two-part series of a conversation with the legendary voice of The Who, as we celebrate the recent all-star Who VH1 Rock Honors, and their upcoming tour. This was the first time I ever interviewed Roger, and was at the time, called one of the longest radio interviews he’d done in years, clocking in at just under 30 minutes, taking place in July 2004, days before Roger and The Who arrived in the islands for a pair of memorable shows.  Check out some cool photos of Roger from the Kahului and Honolulu dates as part of the feature, plus links to Who pages…

The Who’s Roger Daltrey this month in the Classic Interview Player

The Who are having a great year, with the recent star-studded VH1 Rock Honors show, international dates, and an impressive U.S. arena tour this fall. We celebrate with this two-part special starting this month only here in the Classic Interview Player!

Check out both The Who’s official homepage and the official Who myspace page for current tour details, but not long ago in August of 2004, The Who came to the islands for a pair of shows, and I was fortunate enough to do multiple interviews with Roger Daltrey, their legendary vocalist. This is part one of the first time we spoke, and it was, according to the record company and band management, the longest Roger Daltrey interview in years, a half-hour in length. Candid, insightful, covering a wide-range of topics and areas of interest, it gives a lot of insight into one of rock’s great personalities and vocalists. Listen to the podcast in the Classic Interview Player for this month’s issue, part one of this exciting conversation with a rock giant who turns out to be a giving, charismatic storyteller. I hope you enjoy it.
