The prequel to John Carpenter‘s 1982 remake of Howard Hawks‘ 1951 The Thing From Another World is to be directed by Matthijs van Heijningen. It will be written by Eric Heisserer (from a previous draft by Battlestar Galactica showrunner Ronald D Moore).
Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as the palaeontologist unearthing the shape-shifter’s ship in the Antarctic ice. The film is currently being shot in Toronto.
This will be incredible… looking forward to the trailer(s)!
