Complete departure from his work with Soundgarden and Audioslave. Way too much synthesizer. Nearly every song sounds like it was made with a cheap Casio keyboard and nothing else. Climbing Up The Walls seems like the only track that any effort was put into though it falls short of being good. Disappointing.
Wow. I grew up in Seattle in the 80s & 90’s. I was involved in the “Grunge” scene long before the label was applied.
Out of all the bands back in the day..Soundgarden was always a step above when seen live.
Saw them MANY times in the clubs. Saw Temple Of The Dogs first show at the legendary Offramp…
Chris Cornells singing was absolutely mind blowing..always.
I haven’t been much of a fan of anything Cornell has done since leaving Soundgarden. Everything in my opinion has been mediocre in comparison.
This release..holy crap. So bad. The voice is there. But the music is absolutely horrible. It sounds like some lame DJ got a hold of the vocal tracks & made a terrible mix on his mac in his bedroom.
I listened to the whole thing…I vomited 13 times.

In late December 2007, we lost a giant in the record and music industry, in particular relating to rock, and classic rock. Read about it in a tribute to him posted soon after his tragic loss.
THE FIVE YEARS OF DAVE JAM
From September 17-21, 2007, Dave celebrated his five year anniversary in Honolulu, with special guests Styx' Tommy Shaw, Journey's Neal Schon, Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, The E Street Band's Nils Lofgren and Little Steven, and Black Sabbath's Vinny Appice on the air for interviews. Good buddy and legendary drummer Carmine Appice (Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck, Vanilla Fudge, Ted Nugent), and girlfriend Leslie Gold (aka 'The Radio Chick') spent the week in Waikiki and on Oahu, doing call-ins, interviews, meeting listeners at appearances, and joining in as everything culminated at a Friday night concert with fellow show-regulars Mick Fleetwood, and local star Yvonne Elliman, at Pipeline Cafe in Honolulu. During the headline set from Mick Fleetwood's Island Rumours Band, their usual percussion jam in Fleetwood Mac's "World Turning" served as base for a surprise, one time only jam, with two of rocks most well known drummers -- together -- for the first time ever. In a spontaneous and raucous assault, it's captured here for you to enjoy, as Carmine Appice and Mick Fleetwood perform together in the finale to the Five Years of Dave celebration.
