THE FIVE YEARS OF DAVE JAM
From September 17-21, 2007, Dave celebrated his five year anniversary in Honolulu, with special guests Styx' Tommy Shaw, Journey's Neal Schon, Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, The E Street Band's Nils Lofgren and Little Steven, and Black Sabbath's Vinny Appice on the air for interviews. Good buddy and legendary drummer Carmine Appice (Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck, Vanilla Fudge, Ted Nugent), and girlfriend Leslie Gold (aka 'The Radio Chick') spent the week in Waikiki and on Oahu, doing call-ins, interviews, meeting listeners at appearances, and joining in as everything culminated at a Friday night concert with fellow show-regulars Mick Fleetwood, and local star Yvonne Elliman, at Pipeline Cafe in Honolulu. During the headline set from Mick Fleetwood's Island Rumours Band, their usual percussion jam in Fleetwood Mac's "World Turning" served as base for a surprise, one time only jam, with two of rocks most well known drummers -- together -- for the first time ever. In a spontaneous and raucous assault, it's captured here for you to enjoy, as Carmine Appice and Mick Fleetwood perform together in the finale to the Five Years of Dave celebration.
